MINNESOTA GUN OWNERS POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE ENDORSES
ERIC LUCERO AND ABIGAIL WHELAN FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE
SAINT PAUL, MINN. August 14, 2014 – The Minnesota Gun Owners Political Action Committee today announced their endorsement of Eric Lucero and Abigail Whelan for State Representative.
“Today, we’re excited to announce the endorsement of Eric Lucero in House District 30B and Abigail Whelan in House District 35A for State Representative,” said Mark Okern, Chairman, Minnesota Gun Owners PAC. “Both Eric and Abigail won decisive victories in Tuesday’s primary elections and are strong advocates for the Second Amendment.”
The endorsement of Lucero and Whelan join eighty-two other endorsed candidates for state representative previously announced by the MN Gun Owners PAC. A full list of endorsed candidates is available via the organization’s website at http://mngopac.org.
“In both of these house races, there is a clear choice between our endorsed candidate and their opponent when it comes to standing up strongly for the civil rights of Minnesota’s law-abiding gun owners,” said Bryan Strawser, Executive Director. “We will be mobilizing our grassroots supporters to ensure that gun owners get to the polls in November to vote for our endorsed candidates.”
Endorsements by the Minnesota Gun Owners PAC are based on a variety of factors, including candidate surveys, previous voting records, public statements, and grading from other credible gun rights organizations.
“At this time, we do not anticipate making endorsements in other state representative races. We are finalizing our decisions for the Governor’s race and Minnesota’s federal races and anticipate making those choices known in the near future, “ said Strawser.
